Bar’s Head Gasket Repair Pro is a the strongest head gasket repair that penetrates leaking, blown or damaged head gaskets, small cracks in the engine block and other areas near the combustion chamber to provide a permanent repair.  Formulated for those difficult head gasket leaks.

This product contains a combination of concentrated sodium silicate (liquid glass), heat transfer particles, Bar's Leaks Rhizex and other sealing/reinforcement particles. These particles penetrate gaps and cracks to seal leaks in head gasket and cooling system.

This product is recommended for use in vehicles that can run on idle for 15-30 minutes without overheating.

How does Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Repair Pro work?

This product contains a blend of concentrate sodium silicate, strong reinforcement fibers and particles which harden and form a strong seal to stop leaks near the combustion chamber.

Directions:

  1. Make sure engine is cool enough so radiator cap can be safely removed. Drain and completely flush antifreeze from the cooling system and overflow tank.  If the cooling system is dirty, use a good quality flush following manufacturer’s instructions. All antifreeze must be removed or clogging may occur.

  2. For hard to stop internal leaks where coolant is leaking into cylinder or the cylinder pressure is pushing coolant out, locate the cylinder causing the problem and remove sparkplug. 

  3. Shake well, mix one bottle of HGR in a bucket or container with approximately 3 quarts of warm water. Pour this mixture directly into the radiator.  If using in a small cooling system, like 4 cylinders with no A/C, mix ½ the bottle of the HGR with warm water.  

  4. Fill cooling system with water and reinstall radiator cap, if you removed a spark plug reinstall now. Start engine.

  5. Turn heater on hot and fan on high and run engine for 5 minutes or until thermostat opens. Then, turn engine off and allow engine to cool. 

  6. Top up cooling system with water as needed and replace radiator cap.

  7. Run engine at idle until normal operating temperature is reached, continue running engine at idle for 15 minutes, and turn vehicle off and allow engine to cool. 

  8. Top up cooling system with water as needed and replace radiator cap.

  9. Run engine at idle until normal operating temperature is reached Continue running engine, but at high idle (1500RPM) for 20 minutes. 

  10. Turn vehicle off and allow engine to cool for 1 hour. Remove radiator cap and drain system. 

  11. Leave drain open and radiator cap off for 12 to 24 hours. If temperature is below freezing, vehicle must either be kept heated or immediately go to step 12. 

  12. Flush entire cooling system and refill with manufacturer’s recommended antifreeze, water mixture.                                                       


No, Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Repair Pro is not compatible with anti-freeze.

1 bottle treats 9.5 - 19 liters coolant systems.  For smaller systems, use 1/2 a bottle.

The cooling system must be clean and free of other types of stop leak products. If it is necessary to remove other anti-leakage substances, or if the engine is over 2 years old or has traveled over 40,000 km, clean the system with Bar's Leaks Nural  before using Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Repair 1 Step.
